Rural development policy on areas with natural constraints in the Republic of Serbia

The aim of the research is to present main challenges Serbian agricultural policy towards areas with natural constraints in terms delimitation, available measures and budgetary support. methodological framework includes: descriptive statistics constraints, a qualitative analysis strategic programming documents quantitative transfers agriculture. results have revealed that significant share resources are concentrated but, despite this fact, there no specific measure for farms located these areas. implemented support more oriented economic aspects, while other aspects such as promotion sustainable farming practices maintenance countryside neglected. needs be harmonized European (in delimitation support), tailored farmers
